  • Aside from enjoying your piece, jewelry maintenance is the most important aspect of owning jewelry, and can maintain it's longjevity and heriloom quality!

Each piece of my jewelry is 100% handmade, with either .925 Sterling silver, .999 Fine silver, 24k Gold Filled, Copper, or Brass and precious minerals and gemstones. Every piece has it's own unique attributes, but similar care techniques!

I advise that you do not wear your jewelry in the pool, the ocean, or the hottub (although many gemstones can sustain some water-wear, many cannot and could become weakened or brittle if care is not taken, this may also cause your metal to tarnish) So, it is best to take your jewels off and keep them in a safe place while soaking or swimming!

Most of the metals I use will slowly tarnish over time, and may need a quick polish to really shine. Depending on the climate you live in, this may happen more quickly or more often. I do include a polishing cloth with every order so that you can get your pieces back to their original shine.

It is best to store your jewelry in a dry, and airtight space when you are not wearing it to prevent tarnish. Also, storing it with certain papers or cottons may cause it to tarnish as some of these products may contain sulphur.

IF you have a cuff style bracelet or necklace, or a hairpin:

DO NOT bend the cuff/wires to fit it onto yourself! The bending open and closed cand and eventually WILL cause the metal to weaken, resulting in a broken piece. If you cannot slip it on, or wriggle into it, it likely is not your size. Likewise, if it is too loose, please do not bend it to tighten to your size, it WILL result in a ruined piece.

These things are all simple to do, dont take much time and WILL preserve the life of your precious pieces!

Thank you for caring for your genuine jewels!
